It was winter time, the air was crisp and the sky was a vision in blue.
I'm pretty sure everyone was freezing and shivering but it was so picturesque and perfect. The preparation of the day was full of fun and so much laughter, exactly what a wedding should be all about!
Kat chose a satin bias cut gown from Johanna Johnson. The design of the dress allowed for a glamourous finish and she accessorised it with a stunning white fur stole. Her hair was cropped short and her Viktoria Novak pearl headpiece gave her look a beautiful vintage feel. I love seeing a bride be creative with their jewellery and accessories.
The bridesmaid's dresses from Two Birds were in a beautiful wine colour which was perfect for a winter wedding. The rich colour suited the girls and the surroundings. These dresses can be worn in a number of ways depending on the body that is in it...its flattering for everyone!
One of the many things I loved about this wedding was the fact that Kat wanted a very individual look and it was so much fun creating a makeup that involved a dramatic lip. We included a few longer lashes on the outer corner of her eyes which gave them an almond shape and then we defined with a black gel liner. Kat requested a rich deep colour for her lips so we used a great colour from MAC called Rebel and we defined it with a plum liner. It gave the overall look a 1920s feel and it suited Dean in his dapper suit. How she kissed him without making a mess I don’t know...
