Beck and her 2 sisters have been seeing me for eyebrow shaping for about 5 years now.
She is the youngest in the family and the last one to get married. What I love about our regular brow appts are seeing the 3 girls interact. They are all so different and individual but they are an inspiring family unit. It is a sisterly bond that is unmistakable and one that makes me nostalgic for my own “separated-by-seas” sibling relationship.
When Beck asked me to do her makeup for her wedding, I was pretty darn chuffed. Such a pretty face, such a relaxed bride, no need for a trial…how could I say no? It was a simple no fuss day and it matched her personality beautifully. Her dress was from Sass & Bide, one of their mates was taking the photos and she did her own hair. One of her sisters organised chocolate for breakfast….I love this family…
We used a great eyeshadow colour called Smoke & Diamonds (MAC) on her lid over a MAC Paint called Tailor Grey. We then intensified the socket with Copperplate which is a beautiful soft smokey tone. Using the colour Vex I emphasised the inner part of the lid to brighten up the eye. My fail-safe black chromaline gel liner defined the lash line with precision (I know I have mentioned it before but this product does not shift…its amazing). The lips were kept light with Blankety and a touch of gloss to add extra shine. Beck has amazing skin so Face & Body Foundation applied with a #187 brush and a sweep of Select Cover-up concealer was all that was needed.
I always recommend my brides to have a couple of touch-up products for the day. Lipstick and lipgloss will always be kissed off so is a necessity but a compact powder and blusher are also a great idea.
Tumbling Waters Retreat in Stanwell Tops created the perfect back-drop for this super-cool, super-laid back family. Wishing you many happy memories together Beck & Beau. xx
